Description

Model School students displaying their artwork on the front porch and steps of the schoolhouse, c. 1945.

Model School was located on the northeast corner of County Highway 20 and North Oakland Avenue. It was built c. 1885 and used as a school until 1949 when it was consolidated into the Maroa-Forsyth School District.

The school district sold the building in 1951. As of 2022, the building remains standing and is a private residence.
