Description

1933 issues of the Blue and Gold student newspaper for Maroa High School.

"The general purpose of the Blue and Gold is to aquaint the people of the community, especially the parents, with the activities of school life. During the year seven copies are issued. They cover both seriousness and fun in school life and advertise for local merchants as well as outsiders...The pictures taken were candid shots of teachers and pupils in action. By advertisement, subscription, and outside money taken in for each issue, the Blue and Gold has been able to carry on its work" (Miracle, Maroa HS 1939 Yearbook).

The School Archives houses the majority of Blue and Gold issues from 1930 through 1960, in addition to later school newspapers.
