Prairie Chapel School was located 3 miles east and 2 miles south of Maroa. T building was built c. 1870 and also served as Epworth Chapel Church for ab‹ 20 years until the church building was constructed in 1891.
The school closed after the 1947-1948 school year and was consolidated int the Argenta-Oreana district. The building was sold in August 1949 and was later demolished.
