Notes gathered from Decatur, Illinois, newspapers and Rural Schools of Macon County on the history of Pleasant Valley School, which was located 3.5 miles south of Maroa, Illinois on Route 51 in Macon County. The one-room schoolhouse was consolidated into the Maroa-Forsyth District in 1947.
