Description
Photograph of the Pleasant Valley Schoolhouse in 1941. This schoolhouse was located 3.5 miles south of Maroa on Route 51 in Macon County, Illinois. The school was open from c. 1881-1934. It became part of the Maroa-Forsyth Unit District in 1947, and the buildings and land were sold at auction. The buildings were later torn down, and the land returned to farm ground.
