Description
Pleasant Valley School students on September 23, 1898, by original wood school house. This building burned down sometime prior to 1902 and was replaced with a brick building.

The Pleasant Valley Schoolhouse was located 3.5 miles south of Maroa on Route 51 in Macon County, Illinois. The school was open from c. 1881-1934. It became part of the Maroa-Forsyth Unit District in 1947, and the buildings and land were sold at auction. The buildings were later torn down, and the land returned to farm ground.
