Description
Group of children at recess at the American School in 1920. The Amerian School, built in 1874, was located three miles east of Maroa. The school was consolidated into the Maroa-Forsyth School District in 1948 and closed after the 1950-1951 school year. In 1952, the schoolhouse was sold and moved a quarter of a mile to be used as a farm toolshed.
